Drivers in Tucson should plan for lane restrictions and nightly ramp closures on Interstate 10 between Kino Parkway and Alvernon Way June 25-29

I-10 Widening Construction Project Beginning Summer 2025

The Arizona Department of Transportation will begin widening I-10 between Kino and Country Club starting Summer 2025. Expect traffic impacts near the complex during this period.

  • East-and-westbound I-10 between Kino Parkway and Alvernon Way will be narrowed to one lane in each direction nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. starting Wednesday, June 25, through the morning of Sunday, June 29.
  • Southbound Alvernon Way between Olympia Stravenue and I-10 will be narrowed to two lanes daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. starting Wednesday, June 25, through Friday, June 27.
  • North-and-southbound Kino Parkway between Tucson Marketplace Boulevard and Benson Highway will be narrowed to one lane in each direction nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. starting Wednesday, June 25, through the morning of Saturday, June 28.

 

In addition, plan for the following ramp closures:

  • Westbound I-10 on-ramp at Irvington Road will be closed nightly from 8 p.m. to 5  a.m. starting Wednesday, June 25, through the morning of Friday, June 27.
  • I-10 westbound to Irvington Road off-ramp (exit 246) will be closed nightly from 8 p.m. to 5  a.m. starting Wednesday, June 25, through the morning of Friday, June 27.
  • Southbound Palo Verde Road to westbound I-10 on-ramp will be closed nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. starting Wednesday, June 25, through the morning of Friday, June 27.
  • North-and-southbound Kino Parkway to eastbound I-10 on-ramps will be closed nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. starting Wednesday, June 25, through the morning of Friday, June 27.
  • Eastbound I-10 to northbound Kino Parkway off-ramp (exit 236B) will be closed nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. starting Wednesday, June 25, through the morning of Friday, June 27.
  • Westbound I-10 to Ajo Way/Kino Parkway off-ramp (exit 263) will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. starting Saturday, June 28, through the morning of Sunday, June 29.
