Student Athlete National Recruiter

Clayton has been associated with the Sun Belt College League since 2018.   He is responsible for recruiting student athletes to the SBCL Summer College League and coordinating these players in establishing housing arrangements with host families in Tucson and with team assignments.

Clayton has spent many years in college baseball as an umpire.  His list of collegiate leagues that he has worked at include the NCAA Division II Mid-America Interscholastic Athletic Association; NCAA Division I Big 12; NAIA Heart of America Conference and the National Baseball Congress (NBC) World Series in 2002 and 2003.

Clayton was the stadium announcer for the Colorado Rockies Spring Training seasons in Tucson from 2008, 2009, 2010 and was the play-by-play announcer for the Independent League Tucson Toros 2009 and 2010.
